01Troubleshooting guide
No. Two bobbins can look almost identical and still differ in height, edge profile, material or the way they sit in the hook. Start with the exact machine model, not the word “universal” on a listing.
02
03Step
Write down the full brand and model from the machine plate, including every letter, number and regional suffix.
Open the manual or official accessory chart and find the specified bobbin reference, class, dimensions, material and whether the machine is front-loading or top drop-in.
Compare the retailer product page with all of those details. A shared diameter or a familiar label such as Class 15 does not replace the complete match.
With power off, install the bobbin in the direction shown in the manual, thread every guide, then turn the handwheel gently through one stitch cycle before a slow test on scrap fabric.
04
The correct bobbin sits at the intended depth, unwinds smoothly through its guide and forms an even stitch without jumping in the case.
Discard cracked, warped, chipped or roughly moulded bobbins even when their printed class appears correct.
