Fabric not feeding: feed dogs and settings to check
Do not pull the fabric. The feed dogs, presser foot and stitch setting must move it together at the pace set by the machine.

Most likely causes
- Feed dogs are lowered or covered by a darning plate.
- Stitch length is set at zero or the presser foot is not fully lowered.
- Thread or lint blocks the feed dogs or hook area.

Check in this order

Switch off and remove the fabric without pulling against the needle.
- 02Step 2
Check the drop-feed control and remove any darning plate; turn the handwheel once so re-engaged dogs rise.
- 03Step 3
Set a normal straight stitch and medium stitch length, then lower the correct presser foot completely.
- 04Step 4
Clean lint between feed-dog teeth and test two layers of stable scrap without pushing or pulling.

What should restore normal sewing
The feed dogs should rise above the plate and move the fabric evenly while the foot holds it.
For very light or very thick layers, use the pressure and foot recommended by the machine manual.
