03Step

Check in this order

  1. 01
    Step 1

Switch off the machine or lock its controls, raise the needle fully and lift the presser foot.

  2. 02
    Step 2

Use the model manual to identify a top drop-in bobbin or a removable front-loading bobbin case and confirm the exact bobbin reference.

  3. 03
    Step 3

For a drop-in system, hold the bobbin lightly and route the thread in the direction and slots shown in the manual. For a front-loading system, place it in the case, pass the thread under the case spring and seat the case as specified.

  4. 04
    Step 4

Replace the cover, then turn the handwheel slowly in the prescribed direction to check free movement and, when required, bring up the bobbin thread.

04

What should restore normal sewing

The bobbin should unwind smoothly while remaining seated and the thread should stay in its complete path.

Test several straight stitches on scrap before changing any tension setting.
