SCHMETZ Universal 130/705 H needles
Suitable systemFor household machines that use the 130/705 H system. Choose the size for the fabric and check the manual.
01Troubleshooting guide
A skipped stitch usually means the hook cannot catch a stable upper-thread loop. Start with the needle and threading before changing tension.
02
03Step
Switch off the machine, raise the needle fully and fit a new needle in the orientation shown in the manual.
Confirm the needle system and choose a point and size for the fabric; stretch fabric normally needs a ball point or stretch needle.
Raise the presser foot and rethread the complete upper path so the thread enters the tension discs.
Test on a folded scrap using a straight stitch and a medium stitch length before adjusting tension.
04
A fresh, correctly seated needle and complete rethreading solve the most common causes.
If one fabric still skips, change the needle point and size rather than forcing a higher tension.
