01Troubleshooting guide
Sewing machine turns on but will not sew
A machine that lights up but does not move is often waiting for a safety or operating condition. Check the controls in a fixed order and do not open the housing.
02
Most likely causes
- The display or lamp is on but the motor does not respond.
- The bobbin-winder spindle is still in its winding position.
- A message asks for the presser foot or buttonhole lever to be moved.
03Step
Check in this order
- 01Step 1
Switch the machine off, remove fabric from under the foot and wait a few seconds before switching it on again.
- 02Step 2
Raise the needle to its highest position, then return the bobbin-winder spindle fully to sewing position and confirm that no winding message remains.
- 03Step 3
Lower the presser foot and place the buttonhole lever in the position required by the selected stitch.
- 04Step 4
Use only one permitted control method: connect the specified foot controller correctly, or disconnect it if the model requires that before using Start/Stop.
04
What should restore normal sewing
Cancel the selected stitch and choose a basic straight stitch to test the normal sewing position on scrap.
Read the exact message or indicator in the model manual rather than repeatedly pressing the pedal or Start/Stop button.
