01Troubleshooting guide
Will a twin needle fit my sewing machine?
A twin needle is not compatible simply because its shank fits the needle clamp. The machine manual, needle system, distance between the two needles, stitch choice, presser foot and needle-plate opening must all agree.
02
Most likely causes
- The manual explicitly describes twin-needle sewing or gives an approved twin-needle reference.
- The needle system and maximum twin-needle width match the exact model specification.
- The machine has the required second spool path, approved foot and wide needle-plate opening.
03Step
Check in this order
- 01Step 1
Find the exact model manual and note the permitted needle system, maximum twin-needle width, threading method and any stitches that are excluded.
- 02Step 2
Switch off the machine, install only an approved twin needle with its flat side in the stated direction and arrange the two spools exactly as the manual shows.
- 03Step 3
Fit the specified zigzag foot, select the twin-needle mode if present and use only a permitted stitch with a width that keeps both needles inside the foot and plate openings.
- 04Step 4
Before using the motor, turn the handwheel through one complete stitch cycle and watch both needles clear the foot and plate; then test slowly on scrap.

What should restore normal sewing
Compatibility is confirmed only when both needles clear every opening throughout the complete stitch movement without deflecting.
If the model allows several twin-needle widths, start with the exact size and stitch settings recommended in its manual rather than the widest option.
